On the left a C14th fitted gown of red wool with full sleeves lined with
silver, red and gold brocade. An underdress of the same fabric is worn underneath. The
neckline of the gown is embroidered, set with pearls and gold daisy mounts. The gown is
belted by a black velvet girdle hung with silver chain, pearls and folly bells. The crown
is a late C14th design. |

On the right is a C14th loose fitting gown with large sleeves in a dull
purple rough silk. Laced at the front, the gown is gathered at the waist with a gold belt.
The model wears a contrasting fitted underdress with long tight sleeves. |
